Hello, I am looking for an engine dashboard for a Moody 346, Thornycroft 80 engine...
Thank you for your suggestions.
Luc (Moody Woody)

Hi Luc, have you had any luck with this? If not, have you thought/looked into making the facia and replacing the components?

Hi Luc,

I'm a bit late coming to this but. if you haven't yet found a replacement engine instrument panel, I have one in my garage from when we replaced the old Thorneycroft T98 on Wild Thyme - it's the version with oil pressure and water temperature gauges as well as the warning light for no charge from the alternator and comes complete with a wiring harness but no plug on the end of it. All was working when we removed it a few years ago.

I have no idea what it's worth nor what postage to Bretagne would cost. Let me know if you're interested.

Peter

Vu Peter,
Indeed I am still interested... Of course, if the shipping is not too excessive... Keep me informed of the price... Thank you very much.
Sea you
Luc

Hi Luc,

I would be happy to accept 25 Euros for the control panel, but still haven't got to the post office to find out what it would cost to post. Of course, following Brexit there could well be some customs duty to pay at your end and I understand there can sometimes be an admin charge added to that which can be significant.

Peter

Hello Peter,

I've just inquired about the price of a used dashboard... I'm looking at at least €150... And not even for a Moody dashboard... As I want to preserve the boat's authenticity, I'm still very interested in your offer... Sincerely,
Luc

Hi Luc,

I'm happy to stick to my price but, of course, if you want to pay more, I won't object. I still need to sort out the shipping price. My stepson who lives in Prague will be visiting us next week - it may help to get him to post the panel to you from Prague so everything is in the EU - that would avoid any customs complications.

Peter.

Hello Peter,
Oh dear, it seems you didn't receive the last reply I sent you... I'm very interested in your dashboard... Depending on the shipping price from Prague, I can offer you €50 for the board if the shipping price doesn't exceed €30... is that still possible? Good evening

Hi Luc,

Sorry, I've been away sailing for a while and of course Post Office closed today. I will call there tomorrow to see what price they want for shipping and ask them if they have any guidance about customs, which is a complete unknown to me. I will try to weigh the board and harness this evening.

The panel is still there in my garage and doesn't look like it's going anywhere else!

Peter.

p.s. Would you like me to get my stepson to post from Prague, rasther than posting from UK? He's still with us until next weekend. P.

Hello Peter,
No worries, I was also sailing last week... Indeed, it would be interesting if your nephew could send it to me from Prague, I think...
You will tell me how I can send you the sum of money...
Thanks a lot
Sea you

Hi Peter and Luc,
If you can get it to me - I will probably be seeing Luc or can deliver it on August 4th. That will avoid postage to France and possible import tax.
Sort out the money aspect with Luc.
Alan

Hi Alan,

If you're willing to take this with you, that would be great, I had all but decided to send it to Prague with Sasha to avoid complications with customs on a parcel from UK arriving in the EU as posting from Prague would be without duty issues. It's not so much the duty as the "admin fees" charged by carriers for collecting the fees. However, your offer seems even simpler, thank you.

Would you be good enough to send me your address then I will post it to you. It's already well packed in a box with plenty of bubble wrap inside weighing 2.25 kg. total. Box dimensions are 350x260x140 mm.

Hi Luc,

Would you please confirm that you are happy for Alan to bring the panel and harness with him. I will accept your offer of 50 Euros for the panel, harness and shipping to Alan, i.e. 50 Euros total. I will send you details of our Euro account in Brussels so you can pay it in there and avoid currency conversion costs. I'll leave it to Alan and you to make any deal for carrying the box to France for you.

Peter.

Thanks Peter, sent you a moody message with my address details - hope you got it.
Luc, my fee will be an Aperol Spritz at the 'Douanerie'.

Hi Alan,

I can't find anything on the conversations part of this board. Is a "moody message" some other feature I don't know about?

Update,
OK I've found it now on my profile, no idea how you got it there but labels now printed up ready for the Post Office in the morning.

Peter.

Thanks you, Alan

Hi Luc,
Just in case you didn't get my email. I will be in LRB hopefully from 11.00 on August 4th and plan to leave it at the Capitainerie if we have not made contact before then.
